I grew up in NYC in the 50s and never heard of Golden Birthdays. I googled it and it says that Joan Bramsch, an author, came up with the Golden Birthdays for her children. This is a very nice story.

You've triggered my memory and my imagination. Suddenly, my parents, siblings and children are in my thoughts. How warm and refreshing. Great spiritual exercise. Thanks, dear friend.

I am so glad. I was hoping for that effect, even if I didn't know it. Thank you for reading and responding, dear Doc.

This 1947 New Jerseyan never heard of the birth date anniversary celebration concept. Too bad! But those sure are cute kids.

Meanwhile, though, we'll have to be on the lookout for some golden and platinum birthday parties to crash.
