Did you begin the new garden plot? Did your dahlias overwinter okay? Do you want any dahlia tubers? On May 17th I will be donating all my extra tubers to a local plant sale. I can divert your way some if you are interested. Check out https://whitesfieldsfarm.com/flowers From my perspective, gardening takes a high priority despite many other obligations. I am off to Montreal for three nights on Sunday. This is the time of year when I am nurturing many tiny seedlings. In preparation, I have aggressively transplanted all of them earlier than I normally would. My hope is the forecasted rain will take care of all these tiny and fragile plants. Overall, I find gardening gives me more energy and motivation to do my other responsibilities. I have 14 days of continuous glucose monitoring data with an over-the-counter Stelo attached to my upper arm that shows gardening lowers my blood sugar. So now I can tell myself I have doctor's orders to garden.
"Overall, I find gardening gives me more energy and motivation to do my other responsibilities..." I WILL GO WITH THIS BELIEF AND ATTEMPT TO CHANGE MY LIFE ACCORDINGLY "...an over-the-counter Stelo attached to my upper arm that shows gardening lowers my blood sugar. So now I can tell myself I have doctor's orders to garden." WOW. RUSHING OUT TO BUY A STELO (as long as I don't have to stab myself to install it, which I suspect I do). Abbie, you know what my answer is as far as your kind and generous offer of tubers go. Reaching out to you directly on that. THANK YOU for being a reader and commenter of many years, Abbie. Your friendship and support means the world.
I found this totally enjoyable! I enjoyed a chuckle or two. I can just see you out there. Sounds like you will be raising crops - enough to feed a crew!

Mille grazie, Chiaramaria. I so appreciate you reading and commenting on my essay. Feeding the crew--now there's a concept.
