And this one sounds right up my alley. Your review might be more enjoyable than the book, but I do love a “sliding doors” story…with a helping of Thoreau? Reserved!
Kudos to you for meeting your deadline for Booked in the midst of all the rest. Good luck with the move today. I remember you wishing me the same when my 286 boxes arrived in N.Y. from Singapore in 2004. Fortunately, a dear friend was at my side to help!
I have not read this book, but recently finished THE PARIS LIBRARY which is based on the history of the same during WW2. I also read THE LIBRARY about the Los Angeles library's devastating fire. Both volumes include monumental moves of tens of thousands of books, by the way. Both titles were very worthwhile....and a reminder of the importance of libraries.
Are you moving during Elsa? My college roommate was moving this week - she's outside of Tampa! As she said - Elsa took a wobble - and the move went on! Good luck with your move - I did it this week in 2016 - I still have stuff in a few boxes! Don't think I need it after all this time, but some of it was stuff from my parent's place - so no clue what it all is since I didn't pack it all - I had help from friends - and packers.
Double ❤️!! Here’s to that new chapter.

This. THIS.
Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)
But it is, as they might say, a growing experience.
Loved your perspective and lol forward to hearing more about the next adventure in your life!
Movement, for me, is adventure. However, I'm wishing you a smooth adventure.
N.B. the correct title for Susan Orlean's book on LA library fire is: THE LIBRARY BOOK
